I can confidently say Men of War (MoW) is by some distance the most comprehensive WWII strategy game that I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing.

The final game should have an interesting blend of missions ranging from full-scale tactical battles with lots of troops and vehicles at your disposal to small-scale commando missions where you'll command individual soldiers behind enemy lines.

The previous game was praised for its intricate challenging gameplay and quality presentation, and based on what we saw today of Men of War during a visit to 1C (the publisher of the game), that same quality seems to be continuing in stride.

... very few titles reach the epic scale and excitement of Men of War’s biggest battles.

Men of War may not be slated to tread a lot of new ground in WWII-themed strategy games, but it looks poised to improve on what has come before with impressive graphics and an unprecedented level of detail, right down to what individual soldiers are carrying in their knapsacks.

The realism of the gameplay is complemented perfectly by the graphics engine powering it all. The level of detail in both the models and the textures is impressive, and even with dynamic shadows and reflections enabled there was no noticeable slowdown.

All in all, Men of War is looking like it could be the best game of the series so far... this could be an easy competitor for the likes of Company of Heroes.

It's like watching all your favorite war movies play out in front of your eyes.

Men of War is a vast World War II epic that puts almost all others to shame.

...what is definitely sure is the fact that the game gets a free content update including the Japanese army for multiplayer and several new features!

The game is a slow burner, but when it does, it burns brightly.

If you're looking for a combat-intensive RTS, Men of War is definitely one to watch.

Ultimately, if it sounds like I'm biased towards this game simply because it has provided me with some awesome co-op play, it's because I am.
