In this latest Developer Update we introduce two new vehicles, which will be available in the Multiplayer mode. The United States will finally receive a heavier tank design to counter German’s mobile fortresses.
T-60

The T-60 scout tank is a light tank produced by Red Army from 1941 to 1942. Although at first intended to carry a 12.7 mm machine gun like the T-40, the armament was upgraded to a 20 mm TNSh cannon (a tank version of the ShVAK). This weapon could penetrate 15 mm of perpendicular armor at a 500 m range which proved inadequate against the new armored German tanks. In 1942 scientists made attempts to re-arm T-60 with the 37mm ZIS-19 cannon but were abandoned due to the Soviet Union's shortage of 37mm ammunition.
T-29

The Heavy Tank T29 was an American project which started in March 1944 to counter new German tanks. T26E3 (M26 Pershing), weighing-in around 45 tones, was not considered armored heavily enough armed to counter the Tiger II (which weighed almost 70 tones). The T29 project was not ready for the war in Europe but it did become the basis for all heavy tanks produced by the USA after that point.
